About Harling Garden
Amanda Panton is a professional gardener based in Esher, Surrey and since setting up Harling Garden in 2019 works in a range of beautiful gardens providing advice on garden border layout, sources and supplies plants, propagates plants within clients gardens and carries out garden maintenance. Amanda has a particular interest in gardening organically, using no pesticides or herbicides and nurturing the soil to enhance plant growth and protect the wellbeing of wildlife within gardens. Having leapt at the chance to change career in 2016 Amanda achieved the RHS Level 2 Certificate in The Principles of Horticulture at Merrsit Wood College and at the same time worked at the RHS Wisley Plant Centre assisting customers and enhancing her plant knowledge. Amanda’s interest in the biology of plants and the intriguing subject of soil science led her back to Merrist Wood in 2022 to study further gaining the RHS Level 3 Certificate in The Principles of Plant Growth, Health and Applied Propagation in spring 2023.
Memberships
The Gardeners Guild (TGG) is a national trade network for qualified gardeners. Established in 2006, TGG maintains a register of certified gardeners who offer garden and grounds maintenance as part of their services. TGG provides you with greater assurance when selecting a gardener. TGG members must hold at least one government endorsed horticultural qualification and are required to abide by the terms of membership. As a client of Harling Garden you can be confident that you have chosen a TGG member who has been officially trained and formally assessed to meet high horticultural standards.
Formed in 1899 as the Women’s Farm and Garden Association, a registered Charity, the WFGA is now known as the Working for Gardeners Association. Their original aims, aspirations and objectives continue to underpin the activities of the Association in the 21st century.
